About the app

The NZTD app is free. You can use it to scan your passport details directly into your declaration.

It allows you to create a saved profile, so it's easier to use the next time you travel to New Zealand. 

If you’re travelling as a family or group and completing multiple declarations, the app allows you to copy your travel details into another declaration.

If you completed a declaration on behalf of someone else travelling with you, their declaration/s will easily display within the app, along with yours. 

Please note 

  • The NZTD app may not be available in some international regions that use app/app-store blocking. Travellers can still complete a digital declaration using the online form.  
  • For maritime travellers, the NZTD app is only available to travellers arriving in New Zealand on a cruise ship.
